This drawing was made after taking pictures on an afternoon walk in Cobham woods. 60% of Europe’s ancient trees preside in the UK and Cobham have some extraordinary Oak, Beech and Sweet Chestnut trees. I could not resist the lure of the fine majestic oaks and just had to commit them to paper. Hope to make more trips over the winter to capture the amazing trunks and limbs of the Sweet chestnuts. The usual paper and pens were again used for this image.
