This was a small lane I discovered whilst walking through the village. Unfortunately I did not have my sketch pad with me, but I did manage to take a couple of photographs, and worked from them. There was no snow on the ground; it was just a cold damp winter’s day. So I used a little imagination and added snow and different lighting. I was quite happy with the result. However I am still a firm believer that better paintings are gleaned from the sketch pad.
