Whitstable
This started life as a sketch of a pair off shops on Oxford Street Whitstable, a really nice part of the Kent coast. There is plenty of material for artists, to paint and draw. The Fish and chips are really good too. The sketch was a fifteen minute drawing, whilst I was waiting again outside the shops, and it stayed in my sketch pad for a good few years. I was asked to provide another watercolour for a magazine article at the last minute, so I dug the sketch out and came up with this in a few hours.
It was painted on Fabriano 300gms hot pressed, but outlined first with waterproof technical pens, and painted using Winsor and Newton watercolours.
